I LOVE MY HYUNDAI ELANTRA.  YOU WILL TOO.

Buy a Hyundai Elantra!!!!   Best car of all.  Owning a car is a necessity living in the United States.  Owning a quality car that is worth every dollar you invested is sometimes a rarity, but brings such satisfaction.  I have owned four Hyundai Elantras since 2012 and want to express my total, joyful satisfaction with each one.  Bought a new one in 2012, traded it in for a 2014 when the miles were way over 140,000.  The third one was also a new one in 2021, and the fourth one is a 2023 model.  They are wonderful cars for a variety of reasons.

First, the general performance of the cars has always been excellent.  The motor always ran fine on all the different ones I owned.  I would press the button to start her up and voom, away I went.  I put the most mileage on the 2012 Elantra, mostly city  and freeway driving.  I lived in San Jose and worked in Concord in the California Bay Area.  This was an hour, or more, on the freeway, slow and go in the morning commute, and smooth sailing in the evening.  Lots of miles, 5 days a week.  No problems.  I know nothing about cars, so I was grateful for the Hyundai maintenance plan.  I took the car in for the 5000 mile oil change and check up and did not have any other problems.  It is a smooth ride.  Comfortable.  Before buying an Elantra I researched all the cars in the Blue Book for general maintenance efficiency.  Elantra and Outback were the highest scores.

Second, the Hyundai dealerships that I used were exceptional.  I think Hyundai has service down pat.  They have a checklist of things to look at for each visit.  I trusted their work because nothing went wrong over all the years I owned the Elantra’s.  I never had to take the car in again to get something fixed that should have been fixed the first time during the regular maintenance schedule.  At first, I waited each time at the dealership until the oil was changed and everything checked.  For the last year, the dealership I have used has paid for Lyft to drive me home and pick me up.  I don’t know how many dealership pay for rides, but this is such a convenience.

Third, the only thing that  wore out on the car were the tires.   About every 40,000 to 50,000 miles I had to purchase new ones.  Remember I am not an expert with cars, so I had to trust the dealership and Hyundai with knowing the best tires to use for my cars,  Occasionally I drove over a nail and the dealership fixed the tire for me.  I did not feel cheated or abused with the price.  Hyundai furnishes their cars with a spare tire.  It was not one that would replace the regular tire; it was smaller, but it did the job of getting me to the dealership to replace the flat tire.  Hyundai also furnishes a phone number for owners to call for an emergency.  The number is on a sticker on the back window.  They thought of everything for my safety.

Fourth, now the best reasons of all why I recommend Elantras is the price and gas mileage.  My 2021 new car was  $25,000.  Much cheaper that other new cars, and the top of the line Elantra’s, to my surprise when I first purchased one, came with nearly all the bells and whistles than the more expensive cars have.  My 2023 Elantra has warning lights on the side-view mirrors, it has brakes and a camera that stop me from hitting the car in front of me, brakes that keep me in the lane,  seats that heat up.  The  Navigation has several different things other than guiding me to a destination.  Do I need to find a gas station?  it will look up the closest one, tell me the closest route to my destination.  It has rear-view cameras, side-view cameras.  The car stops if I might back up into oncoming cars or pedestrians.  The phone connects to the car so I can call people, listen to music, podcasts, AM, FM Sirrus stations.  It Plays calm music, warns me of low gas. The mileage is superb!! I get over 40 miles to the gallon.  Sometimes on long trips I got over 50 miles to the gallon.  That sounds good with these gas prices today, right?  You should look into getting an Elantra the next time you need to buy a car.
